Winter Warmth Project 2021

As a kick off to winter season, Wendy and Marie Claire from Bowlers for babies presented the children of Osidisweni Creche with jerseys, beanies and hoodies, fruit and biscuits. A great deal of planning, effort, love, knitting and knitting goes into such a big project and 47 children are warmer this winter for it. Thank you so much and bless your organisation! 🙏 Gradwell Letting went all the way to Durban and back to ensure better (and educational) seating now that the creche has grown to 47 pupils 🥰 They also supplied soft and warm fleecy blankets for those days where we get caught up with nasty rainy weather and a cold snap like we just had. Thank you Gideon and Mandy from Gradwell Letting for always assisting when there is a need. Bless you. 🙏Thanks to Carol Anne and Alan Warren for sponsoring 50kg of Mealie Meal to the creche and another 50kg to families in need. You do so much charity around the coast 😇Ari Maharaj (5) was up at 4am to make sure the hearty vegetable soup was ready for the children to enjoy with bread. He loves all his friends at the Osidisweni Creche and they love him 🥰❤We also supplied them with cleaning materials, disinfectant, sanitizer etc. in preparation for the rising wave. Children under 5 are at a very low risk of contracting the virus, but precautions are paramount nonetheless. For those who do not know yet, we are running a winter warmth project where we supply local early development centres, schools and creches (urban and rural areas) with warm clothes for children aged 3-9 years. If you have any spare winter fabric please contact Sonia at 0793113611 or sponsor a tracksuit at R100 each.
